Richard and Sharon Keast (nee Dakin) - welcome you to Yellow Sands.

The Dakin family have resided at Yellow Sands for over 40 year's and remains as a family concern!

Holidays at Harlyn are never forgotten, we have many guests re-booking every year - who we always look forward to, and enjoy seeing!  We hope we can accommodate you on your holiday to Cornwall.

WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS

To enable those guests wishing to keep in touch with home and work, we offer this facility for guests to bring their laptops etc. away with them!

• We have 6 modern, well maintained cottages, all comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard with all that's required for a self catering holiday.  We service the properties ourselves, to provide our guests with accommodation which is fresh and clean for their arrival.

 

• Each is individual and provides an environment to sit back, relax and enjoy!

 

• All cottages are double glazed and have either storage heaters (inclusive in tariff) providing additional warmth for early and late season holidays or in the case of Morva and Lerryn central heating.  All rooms have additional convector style heaters, to provide a boost of heat if necessary!

 

• Each property has its own lawned garden and seating area with outdoor furnishings for guest's relaxation,    (Orchard, Pampas and Lerryn have small enclosed lawn areas).  Cataclews has a conservatory with extra seating.

 

• There is parking adjacent to each cottage for up to two cars.

 

• Electricity is supplied by £1 coin meters, (except Lerryn - electric provided and a charge per day for Cataclews). Equipment within  property includes - colour Freeview Panasonic TV, VCR/DVD, CD/Radio/Ipod unit, Hairdryer, Kitchens are fully equipped with appliances including modern oven/hob, microwave, toaster, Dishwasher, Fridge/Freezer.       An electric iron and vacuum cleaner are also provided.  

 

• All beds are clean and bedding is changed each changeover (i.e. pillow/mattress protectors, duvet covers).

• Bed linen is provided, or may be brought by guests from home if preferred. 

• Towels are available to hire @ £5 per person. 

• Cots and highchairs can be provided, as can an occasional bed.  Extra blankets for out of season are available upon request.

 

• For guests convenience - there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

 

• Centrally located is a small play area for younger children. 

 

• A payphone is available for guests use. 

 

• We offer broadband access to facilitate those wanting to keep in contact with the office and family back home!  There is a minimal charge of £7 per week for the access.

 

• Yellow Sands provides relaxed self-catering accommodation all year round

 

• Local amenities are at St Merryn (1 mile) with many shops providing daily requirements (including newsagent, post office, groceries, bakery, deli, petrol station, pubs, chinese & Pizza takeaway, fish & chips and restaurants) and in Padstow (2.5 miles) there is a Tesco store and a great selection of eating houses.

 

• Our cottages at 'Yellow Sands' are inspected annually by the Visit Britain/Quality Assurance attaining a 3 & 4 star grading for 2013/2014.  Cataclews is a good 3 star and Morva, Pampas, Ivey, Orchard & Lerryn are 4 star - Lerryn once again being awarded a GOLD AWARD following our Inspection February 2013

 

• We are members of 'Quality Cornwall' through Visit Cornwall also 'PATA' the Padstow Area Tourism Association.  By being a member of these organisations we are kept 'in touch' with the industry and are able to offer guests the accommodation they are hoping for!
